Snowshoeing 2019
This year the New York State Special Olympics snowshoeing competition was hosted at Swain Resort in Swain, N.Y. The event was originally slated to be held at Cobb's Hill in Rochester, N.Y., but was moved to Swain because of unusually warm temperatures. The Swain Resort was able to make snow for the competition.
Over 140 athletes from all nine regions in New York competed in the 25m, 50m, 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay races.
This year's competition is a qualifying round for the world games that will be in Sweden.
