Athletes, coaches, volunteers, and fans had an early morning start as they commuted from Rochester to Swain Resort for the Special Olympics Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding competitions. Athletes compete under bright sunny skies and temperatures in the 30s. The sounds of cheers and cowbells rang across the mountain as athletes carved turns and sped down the slopes with the sun reflecting off the surface of the snow.
